Nice, clean, great location. All the amenities such as hairdryer, kettle, TV, shampoo and shower gel. Very easy check in and check out. Simply but nicely decorated. One let down was that the shower drain was clogged, meaning the shower tray would fill up with water after about a 1 minute shower. Apart from this it was perfect.

Fantastic hotel – beautiful and quirky decor and in a great central location. Super friendly and helpful staff. The choice at breakfast was incredible and catered for all tastes – pastries, cereals, fruit, meats, cheese, and donuts! The room had brilliant air con and was wonderfully decorated with the added bonus of a view of The Shard. Our family loved this hotel and can’t wait to return. Thank you 🙂

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Really nicely decorated and the room was very comfortable with a great view .

Staff were very friendly and helpful throughout.

Breakfast was great although it would be good if it could be served until 11 or midday.

The bar was not fully open again post covid.

A great stay in a great location. Close to several underground stations and restaurants nearby. The hotel lobby was very nice and modern. The hotel room was clean and was exactly what we needed for a great, affordable price. There were 2 elevators so we never had to wait long. The bathroom was really small, and that was the only negative. Overall, a really great stay!

Had a good stay here! My room was a private twin on the top floor with a skylight. It had a desk and AC which was great. The bathrooms were usually clean except late in the evening. Be aware you can hear the music from the bar downstairs even on the 5th floor and on a Wednesday night, but with ear plugs you’re fine. Bed was comfy and check in staff friendly! At £44 a night (booked a month in advance) the location can’t be beaten

Probably the best hostel I’ve stayed at and will continue to use while I work and commute. The staff are friendly, helpful and just a joy to be around, the bar is great and has a nice atmosphere and the rooms, although they’re general shared hostel rooms, there’s definitely a feeling of security in this building. Would 100% recommend for people commuting for work, travellers or those just generally wanting a cheaper stay in London for a short period!

They must overbook their rooms. Big disturbance in the middle of the night of a guest telling my bunk mate he was in his bed in our at-capacity room — I left the room and he took my bed instead. Asked front desk for a refund considering I didn’t have a bed anymore/was annoyed at the situation but nope, wasnt given one. Said he couldn’t refund me for the night despite my bed being stolen. Rip off. Rooms are small and packed full of coughing guests during a pandemic also. Bathrooms smell. Cancelled the rest of my nights and went elsewhere.

I didn’t stay so no comment on that but sharing my experience of their abysmal (lack of) customer service skills. I went in today to ask to please charge my phone as my battery had died and I was on my way to a client meeting after having ordered a cab. The lady hesitated and then asked what I assume was the manager and he flat out refused after confirming I wasn’t a guest. Absolutely appalling! Had they been my only lifeline, they’d have left me vulnerable and unreachable. Yes, the onus is on myself, but we’ve all been there and for a hospitality business to behave so awfully is nothing short of shocking! I manage an office nearby, often booking accommodation for clients, staff and such and aside from genuinely needing to charge my phone, was also scoping it out to see if it was acceptable for recommendation. Needless to say I will never book nor recommend this hotel. They don’t hold true to their values and therefore may extend their lack of hospitality to guests which is a risk I’m not willing to take for our business clients. If you want to book clients somewhere where you can be assured they will be treated with respect and shown great hospitality, this definity isn’t the place! Plenty of great alternatives nearby. Book with caution- or better still avoid altogether! I’ve had to use a different name so that my place of work remains confidential. Such a shame as the hotel itself looked very well maintained. I’d say some retraining may be in order.

Nice hotel in a great location, not too far from the London Eye, Tower of London, etc. The room was a good size, very clean and offered a bath and shower. Breakfast was free but the bacon, eggs, sausages and beans were served by staff so big eaters may see the portions as small, ok for me though. Everything else was self-serve.

DO NOT use this hotel if visiting by car, it only has 7 to 8 parking spaces, which is not enough for a hotel with 617 rooms!!! So the chances of you parking when you arrive is virtually ZERO!!! And parking spaces cannot be reserved with a room. Parking has a rather large fee per day too unlike other Holiday Inn Express hotels outside of London.

The hotel it’s self was pleasant and well located. We would go back again as it was affordable and got what we paid for. However on arrivals 5pm we were informed our room wasn’t ready as the ‘bedding wasn’t washed’. But after waiting for 30 mins in reception we asked again but this time they made a completely different excuse that ‘we thought you were in a double room not a family room, so we haven’t set up the sofa bed/supplies’. (basically they lied to us). But kindly they did offer us each 3 free drinks per person. The room was nice and clean tho – we did all sleep well. The next morning, we went to breakfast which was included. It was pleasant- appart from the cooked food. There was no meat as the shop didn’t come so there was only eggs – which was disappointing.

Really good location. A good hotel with excellent staff on reception and at the breakfast room. Breakfast was enjoyable with typical English breakfast on offer with plenty of fruit alternatives. The only area to mark down was the room. The shower was fine but the general feel of the shower room was worn and tired, and in need of some deep cleaning. So would I return? The answer is yes.

Bed was super comfortable. Rain shower was fab. I know right? For me it’s all about the bed (comfortable mattress and pillows) and shower (right water pressure and enough hot water). Overall extremely poor and disappointing.
Stayed for 2 nights with family. Would not stay again due to following reasons.

Absolutely Filthy Room:
1. Toilet smelled strongly of urine. On lifting the lid found toilet splashed and stained with previous guest’s urine. Closer checking found dried urine on floor around toilet. Multiple finger marks visible on toilet flush and other bathroom surfaces. Smears and toothpaste spots around sink area and mirror. Areas of mouldy bath sealant.
2. Dried food stuck to headboard, bedside table and TV screen. Chewed sweet and other debris under beds.
3. Thick layers of dust in wardrobe handles, on top of TV and headboard units.
4. Multiple small bits of dirt and dust on floor, particularly in corners and around the edges.
5. Multiple finger marks on windows and greasy (hair?) imprint.

Other issues:
Not enough towels – 2 sets left for 3 people.
1 set of shower gel and shampoo – seals broken!
Very poor shower water pressure.
Pool/spa on the cold side. Ok for swimming.
The staff did respond quickly to the cleaning issues, but they should just not have happened.
On the plus side, the breakfast is pretty good, but stay easy from the edges of the dining room as the air con is fierce and food goes cold quickly.

As a Novotel member I generally only pay about 45% of advertised prices. The place looks nice but in my executive room the bed was tiny, the carpet was stained and just lacked a certain quality that you would expect at that price point. Breakfast was more than adequate though.

This is my favourite hotel in London. It is a 5 minute walk from London Bridge tube station (Jubilee and Northern lines) and is close to Borough High Street and the food market there. The area has a lot of restaurants and you can walk along the South bank and see the sights eg the Tate Modern and the London Eye.
The staff at the hotel are so friendly and the rooms are quiet, light and spacious. Having a small fridge in the room is an excellent idea and prove to be very useful during a stay.
A particular asset to the Novotel team is Melissa on the front desk. She is so efficient and friendly and makes you feel very welcome. A great hotel in central London.

This surprising hotel is a great place to stay. We wanted somewhere reasonably central and reasonably priced for a short visit to London, this exceeded our expectations. Although rooms are small, they are clean, beds comfortable, shower is super. The usual tea, coffee, milk in the room, decent hairdryer, free bottled water. Electric fans in the rooms. The disabled room was enough for a small mobility scooter to fit in overnight, a walk-in shower but not big enough for a wheelchair user. Staff are great, welcoming and helpful. It’s very popular because it’s good service for a good price.

Good location, very close to the metro station. The staff was very nice, and I also got a double room instead of a single, even if I was on my own. The area is very quiet at anytime. Absolutely epic art museum. The permanent and visiting collections are beautiful and thought-provoking. However the building itself I arguably a greater work of art than any one piece within! Climbing the levels and looking out into the monolithic foyer–watching other people do the same– is a memorable experience. Plus the permanent collection is free! Just make sure you reserve tickets online before you shoe up

True rarity. The last of what used to be a gallery inn that has survived since sixteen century (but likely earlier) true to its purpose, although originally it was one of a few coach inns catering to traders bringing goods to London – location is crucial as there was only one bridge, the London Bridge. London theatre companies used to perform in galleried courtyards of such inns prior to the erection of purpose-built theatres mid-sixteen century. The pub is owned by the National Trust to preserve its heritage.
History aside, drink, food and merriment abound. Always busy but large courtyard helps! Well recommended!

Visited 31/7/21. Five people. Unique and lovely National Trust pub. Greene King run. Beers and Ales were well kept but pricey, even for London. Lunch was excellent overall. However, the mash with my sons steak and kidney pudding was very poor, clearly reheated and completely bland. Surely better quality mash could be sourced.
Sorry to say that the male toilets in the pub were really mucky and tatty and not at all nice to use. My wife also mentioned that the ladies weren’t great either.
This is unacceptable, particularly during a pandemic when hygiene is paramount.
Always worth a visit though.
